SPORT AND MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL

Job Overview
Providing mental health support to targeted children in primary schools through sport and physical activity. Successful candidate will have the opportunity to work 1-1 and in small groups providing nurture, support, solutions and strategies for a variety of mental health problems. Full induction and mental health training provided. Competitive P/h salary.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide care and support
• Design active, fun, sports based games for your sessions
• Work closely with teachers and school staff to provide a universal solution for each child
• Provide detailed term by term progress reports for each child

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Experience working in primary schools
• Minimum Level 2 coaching certificate
• Up to date DBS, First Aid and Safeguarding certificates
• Experience delivering sports based lessons
• Valid drivers’ license
• Active and outgoing individual

DESIRED

• Mental Health training
• Experience working 1-1 with young children
• Knowledge base of a variety of mental health problems
